Day 1: Arrival in Leh
- Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport.
- Transfer to your hotel and rest to acclimatize to the high altitude (3,500 meters above sea level).
- In the afternoon, visit Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding mountains.
- Visit Leh Market in the evening for some local shopping and exploration.
- Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
- After breakfast, visit Shey Palace and Shey Monastery, former summer palace of the kings of Ladakh.
- Explore Thiksey Monastery, known for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.
- Visit Hemis Monastery, one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh.
- Return to Leh in the evening.
- Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 3: Excursion to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass
- Depart early morning for Nubra Valley, driving over Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters), one of the highest motorable passes in the world.
- Visit Diskit Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the Nubra Valley.
- Optional: Experience a double-humped Bactrian camel ride in the sand dunes of Hunder.
- Overnight stay in Nubra Valley (Hunder or Diskit).
Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
- After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, crossing the Shyok River and Chang La Pass (5,360 meters).
- Spend the afternoon exploring the mesmerizing blue waters of Pangong Lake, which stretches across the India-China border.
- Enjoy the scenic beauty and the changing colors of the lake.
- Overnight stay in Pangong Lake camps (basic accommodation).
Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh
- Wake up early to witness the sunrise over Pangong Lake.
- After breakfast, drive back to Leh.
- En route, visit the Hemis Monastery again, if missed earlier.
- Arrive in Leh by late afternoon.
- Evening free for leisure or optional visit to local markets.
- Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 6: Departure from Leh
- Depending on your flight timing, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Leh.
- Transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
