Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival Bangalore and Transfer to Mysore with Mysore Palace
After arriving at Bangalore Airport/Railway Station, we’re going to help with your transfer to Mysore. After about 3.5 hours, we’ll arrive at the “City of Palaces,” where we can see remnants of ancient monuments and ruins. We’re going to check-in at the hotel and let you rest before going on a half-day sightseeing.
- After the zoon, we’re going to Mysore Palace, also known as the Maharaja’s Palace. This stunning three-storied royal residence is surrounded by serene gardens. The Wadiyars called this place home. The palace was made of fine gray granite and rich pink marble. We’ll visit another royal residence, the Jaganmohan Palace, which is an art gallery that was built during Krishnaraja Wodeyar III rule in 1861. This gallery has the largest collection of artefacts in South India. Visit the Mysore Zoo (closed on Tuesdays) – It was started by Chamaraja Wodeyar X initially as a private Zoo in 1892. It houses a wide range of animals and is one of the oldest zoos of the country. The Mysore zoo is the only zoo in India to have a Gorilla. The zoo is also a house to Chimpanzees and Orangutans. Other exotic animals found in Mysore zoo are Giraffes, Zebras, White Deer, African Elephants, Bears, Porcupines, Rhinoceros, Tapir, Otters etc.You’ll have evening free to explore the place on your own. Feel free to go shopping and bring home with you silk saris, sandalwood, artefacts, and handicrafts. We’ll ride back to the hotel.

Day 2: Half Day Mysore Sightseeing - Transfer from Mysore to Ooty
Get up little early in the morning because today will be a hectic day. Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before at 8 am & check-out. Get ready to leave for Ooty but only after we go on a local sightseeing in Mysore. We’re going to start with Mysore Palace, also known as the Maharaja’s Palace. This stunning three-storied royal residence is surrounded by serene gardens. The Wadiyars called this place home. The palace was made of fine gray granite and rich pink marble.
And then head to Chamundi Hills known for its height and where the Chamundeshwari Temple was built. At almost the elevation of 3,500ft, one can enjoy the most incredible sight of Mysore city from above and naturally, cooler breeze and refreshing air. About 13 kms away from the city, the Chamundeshwari Temple is a famous Shakti Peetha, known as the Krouncha Pitha where Sati’s hair fell. Shakti is worshipped here in her fierce form, Chamundeshwari. There’s also the Big Bull which is on top of the Chamundi Hills, the third largest Nandi in India carved in granite.
- We’re going to visit the stunning Gothic-style St. Philomena’s Church that has 175 ft tall twin towers. The church resembles St. Patrick’s cathedral at New York and Cologne Cathedral.We’re going to keep driving to Ooty which is about 4 hours away, famous hill station at Tamil Nadu. Enjoy a scenic ride that passes by Bandipur National Park and the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary. We’re going to visit the Ooty Lake on arrival and invite you to go horse riding and boating here (at extra cost). We’ll check-in at the hotel and then rest after an exciting day in Ooty.

Day 3: Half Day Ooty Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for half day Ooty sightseeing covering Botanical Garden, St. Stephen’s Church, Rose Garden & Ooty Lake.
- St. Stephen’s Church – A beautiful architectural marvel that dates back to the 19th century. The structure still stands tall and there are no signs of wear and tear although it has been about two hundred years since it was built.Botanical Garden – a vast expanse of lawn going steeply uphill with variety of trees, shrubs as well as some conservatories with exotic ferns and flowering plants. Highlight of this park is the fossilized tree belonging to the pre-historic era, kept as natural exhibit. According to carbon dating findings, it is about 20 million-year-old.Next visit Rose Garden, it dispalys more than 20,000 varieties of roses collected from different parts of the world. Unusual colors of black and green roses are also found. Get a spectacular view of the entire Ooty from Rose Garden.In the evening proceed to Ooty Lake – An artifical Lake & one of the famous tourist spot in Ooty. Enjoy boating, cycling, photography, mini toy train ride.
Indulge in shopping at the famous Charing Cross Road or Ooty Lake Road and take home Nilgiris eucalyptus oil, Homemade Chocolates & Hill Honey from Ooty.

Day 4: Transfer from Ooty to Kodaikanal
After breakfast checkout from the hotel & proceed to Kodaikanal (250Kms / 7Hrs), one of the most popular, serene and beautiful hill stations of Tamilnadu. On arrival check in to your hotel and relax.

Day 5: Half day sightseeing in Kodaikanal
After breakfast proceed for half day sight seeing at Kodaikanal covering Coakers Walk, Bryant’s Park, Pillar’s Rocks & Kodai Lake.
Pillar Rocks are three vertical granite boulders, standing shoulder to shoulder amidst untouched packets of dense rainforest. Unique and visually stunning, these rocky pillars measure approximately 400 ft in height from the ground level. The surrounding forests, garden and spectacular cloud formations serve as ideal backdrops for perfect pictures.
Coaker’s Walk which is a 1 kilometer paved pedestrian path running in parallel to the Club Road along the edge of steep slopes on the southern side of Kodai. On a clear day one can view fantastic places of interest such as Dolphin’s Nose in South, Valley of the Pambar river in South East, Bird’s eye view of Periyakulam.
Bryant’s Park is a sprawling botanical garden bejewelled with various species of plants and shrubs. One section of the park is dedicated to an exotic rose garden that prides itself on the unique and rare species grown there. There is also a greenhouse where plants from all around the world thrive.
- Visit Kodai Lake, the man-made star shaped lake, which spreads out over sixty acres. Boating is a perfect recreational activity that you can engage in at Kodaikanal Lake. You can choose from various available options, Rowing boats, Pedalling boats etc. Cycling as well as Horse riding are also available on direct payment basis for a lively and energetic experience of the valleys.
